The official trailer has been released for Stella Meghie’s (Jean of the Joneses) MGM film adaptation of Nicola Yoon’s debut novel titled Everything, Everything.  The novel was released September 2015, and debuted at the number 1 spot on the New York Times YA bestseller list.  It was sold in 33 territories and 21 languages and has been on the New York Times best-seller list for six consecutive months.

Everything, Everything revolves around Maddy (Stenberg), a teen who has severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), a rare disease that causes her to be allergic to practically everything. She has spent 17 years hiding out in her home, only seeing her mother and her nurse, Carla. But when a boy named Olly moves in next door, Maddy begins to fall in love.  Amandla Stenberg, is starring in the film as Maddy, the girl at the center of the story.  Nick Robinson will star as Olly, the boy who moves in next door.  Anika Noni Rose also co-stars in the film.

Writer, director Meghie directed the script written by Mills Goodloe (Ageof Adaline), and Les Morgenstein and Elysa Dutton of Alloy Entertainment Features will produce.

Meghie premiered her feature film debut Jean of the Joneses, at SXSW, and recently signed with CAA. She currently has a blind script deal at Warner Bros., a pilot in development with John Wells Productions, a comedy optioned by BET titled Funny Woman (a rom-com about trying to remain friends with your ex while looking for new love), and a deal to pen a feature script for VH1, which is being produced by Alicia Keys’ production company AK Worldwide.  Meghie is also a Tribeca Film Institute fellow and Showtime Tony Cox Award recipient.

Everything, Everything will be released theatrically on May 19, 2017.
