Vanessa Williams will be joining the ABC drama pilot False Profits as a series regular.

The series follows a team of down-and-out women in suburban Arizona as they fight their way to the top of the cutthroat world of a multi-level marketing cosmetics business. Williams will play Suzanne, the leader of a highly successful group of saleswomen. She initially tries to befriend Laura (Bellamy Young), but turns ice cold when Laura decides to start a group of her own.

Williams is known for her many television credits including Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives, Daytime Divas as well as appearances in The Mindy Project, Broad City, and The Good Wife. She has also starred in many films including Eraser, Soul Food, Dance with Me, and Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.  Williams recently joined the cast of the CBS comedy Me, Myself & I in a recurring role opposite John Larroquette.
