Girls Trip star Tiffany Haddish has joined the satirical thriller The Oath.  Haddish will also serve as an executive producer on the film.

The film will be set in politically divided America where citizens have to take an oath of loyalty, and focuses on a man has to make it through the Thanksgiving holiday without destroying his family.  Character details for Haddish are currently being kept under wraps.

In addition to Haddish, the cast includes Star Trek star John Cho, Carrie Brownstein (Portlandia), Billy Magnussen (Ingrid Goes West), Meredith Hagner (Search Party), Jon Barinholtz (Superstore), Nora Dunn (The Guilt Trip), and veteran actor Chris Ellis (Murder in the First). 

Haddish has become one of the most sought-after comedic talents in television and film.  She recently starred on The Carmichael Show, as well as the Universal Pictures hit film Girls Trip (mentioned above), alongside Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Regina Hall. Up next, she will be starring alongside Tracy Morgan in his upcoming comedy series The Last OG, created and executive-produced by Tracy Morgan and Jordan Peele.

Her other film credits include Meet the Spartans,Keanu, Racing for Time, and The Janky Promoters. Her television credits include recurring roles on If Loving You Is Wrong,Real Husbands of Hollywood, and New Girl.  She was an early standout since first appearing on Def Comedy Jam, Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes? and Comedy Central’s Reality Bites, and will soon be joining Kevin Hart and Yvonne Orji in the upcoming comedy Night School.  Haddish is also set to star in  New Line’s upcoming film The Kitchen, and in Universal’s upcoming film The Temp.
