Tiffany Haddish to Host Saturday Night Live

On Saturday, November 11th, comedienne Tiffany Haddish will make history by becoming one of the few black women to host Saturday Night Live!  Many have stated that she is in fact the first black female comedian to host the late night sketch series.

This opportunity for Haddish falls right in line with her remarkable year.  Earlier this year, Haddish was the breakout star for the Universal Pictures film Girls Trip that made $113.3 million at the domestic box office, and became the first black film (with a black producer and director) to achieve this milestone.

The SNL episode has yet to air, and Haddish is already our favorite host of all time!  Check out the promo above to see exactly what we mean!

Haddish is one of the most sought-after comedic talents in television and film. She recently starred on The Carmichael Show, as well as the Universal Pictures hit film Girls Trip (mentioned above), alongside Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Regina Hall. Up next, she will be starring alongside Tracy Morgan in his upcoming comedy series The Last OG, created and executive-produced by Tracy Morgan and Jordan Peele.

Her other film credits include Meet the Spartans,Keanu, Racing for Time, and The Janky Promoters. Her television credits include recurring roles on If Loving You Is Wrong,Real Husbands of Hollywood, and New Girl.  She was an early standout since first appearing on Def Comedy Jam, Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes? and Comedy Central’s Reality Bites, and will soon be joining Kevin Hart and Yvonne Orji in the upcoming comedy Night School.
