Sydney Park (The Walking Dead) has been tapped to headline Lifeline, YouTube’s eight-episode science-fiction, action, and thriller fusion series! The half-hour series, also starring Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights), comes from Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia’s Seven Bucks Productions, and Studio71, the digital entertainment company and multichannel network of ProSiebenSat.1. Sam Gorski and Niko Pueringer of Corridor Digital are set to direct.
Lifeline is set in the not-too-distant future and follows a little-known life insurance company that sends it agents forward 33 days in time to prevent the accidental deaths of its clients. Gilford portrays the company’s best agent, Conner Hooks, who boasts a perfect save tally until the sixteen-year-old Norah (Park) is orphaned on his watch. This tragedy forces Conner to make a pledge to protect her even at the risk of his Lifeline career and his own life.
Also joining the cast are Eden Estrella (Furious 7, The Fate of the Furious) as Young Norah, Usman Ally (Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D) as Nathan, and Lilan Bowden (Andi Mack) as Jasmine.
Sydney Park made history as the youngest comedian to perform at Hollywood Improv (now called LA Improv) and made her television debut on the popular teen sitcom That’s So Raven in 2006. She also started as Gabby on the Nick@Nite show, Instant Mom from 2013-2015. This past year, she appeared as Cyndie on The Walking Dead.
This new YouTube series sounds fascinating and we look forward to seeing Sydney shine!
