Last month we announced the book release for A Good Thing written by esteemed television writer and producer Stacey Evans Morgan (The Parkers).  Today we are happy to announce that she will be hosting an official book store launch in Los Angeles at Eso Won Books on June 28th from 7:00pm – 9:30pm.

Evans Morgan certainly does not need an introduction on this site; however, in the 90’s was one of the few black women filling writing rooms, pushing boundaries, breaking barriers, and fighting to have our stories told.  She is a veteran in the television world and has written for classic television series such as One on One, The Jamie Foxx Show, and she served as a producer and writer on the UPN hit series The Parkers for five seasons.  In 2009 she sold freelance episode scripts to Tyler Perry Studios for the TBS series Meet the Browns and House of Payne.  Most recently Evans Morgan served as the co-executive producer on TV One’s television series Love That Girl.

A Good Thing was published by a Brown Girl Books (BGB), a boutique publishing company with a roster of over 40 authors, with 5 imprints. BGB’s goal is to provide a voice for literary fan favorites, while introducing the next generation of authors.

Check out the summary of the novel below, and you can grab a copy of the book HERE.  If you are in Los Angeles on June 28th, be sure to stop by the book store launch!
