We have two announcements; double the Black Girl Magic!

Roslyn Ruff (Rachel Getting Married, The Help) has been confirmed for a series-regular role opposite Reba McEntire in ABC’s Marc Cherry drama pilot, from ABC Studios! The untitled project will star McIntire as Ruby Adair, the sheriff of a colorful small town who finds her red-state outlook challenged when a young FBI agent of Middle Eastern descent is sent to help her solve a horrific crime. Ruff will play Inez Winemiller, a jolly church lady who runs the local bed and breakfast. Ruff has had recurring roles on CBS’ Madam Secretary and Doubt and ABC’s The Family.

In other news…

Adrienne Warren (Point of Honor) has joined CBS’ legal drama pilot Perfect Citizen as a series regular! The pilot comes from The Good Wife executive producer Craig Turk, who also serves as writer. Ridley Scott and David Zucker (Scott Free Productions) also executive produce. Perfect Citizen centers Deck (Noah Wyle), the former general counsel for the NSA who embarks on a new career at a storied law firm in Boston after his involvement as a whistleblower in an international scandal. Warren portrays the intelligent, resourceful, and loyal Ingrid, Deck’s deputy at the NSA. Warren has guest role credits in Royal Pains, Black Box, Orange is the New Black, and Blue Bloods.

Great news for these two ladies and we wish them success in their new roles and careers!
