Phoebe Robinson, of the popular-podcast-turned-HBO-series “Two Dope Queens,” has snagged a role in the upcoming movie, What Men Want.

Robinson will play the role of Ciarra alongside Taraji P. Henson, Max Greenfield and Tracy Morgan. The film revolves around Taraji P. Henson’s character in a gender-flipped version of the 2000 Mel Gibson comedy What Men Want.  In the film, Henson plays a sports agent who is consistently subjected to sexism and gender bias in the workplace. When she suddenly gains the ability to hear men’s thoughts, she uses the new-found gift to finally achieve the success and respect that she’s dreamed of.

Robinson is a is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actress who has appeared in several television shows such as NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, Last Call with Carson Daly, ConanBroad CityThe Nightly Show with Larry WilmoreTotally Biased with W. Kamau BellBig Morning Buzz Live@midnight with Chris Hardwick and more.  She recently starred in a recurring role on the Soloway’s latest Amazon series I Love Dick.  In addition to her numerous television credits, Robinson created and starred in Refinery29’s web series Woke Bae and is the creator and co-star of the hit WNYC podcast 2 Dope Queens (co-created with former Daily Show correspondent Jessica Williams).  Robinson is developing a new series for Amazon with writer Amy Aniobi (Insecure) and Jill Soloway (Transparent) titled Homecoming Queen.  She will make her film debut this summer in makes her film debut in the upcoming Netflix comedy Ibiza.
