Director Nzingha Stewart (With This Ring) is set to write Hulu anthology series titled Bitches based on a Brazilian show that revolves around women telling their “dirty deeds and misadventures” to their hair stylist. A different woman will share her story each week, and these stories include confronting dominant husbands, turning the tables on frenemies and finding sweet vengeance after being cruelly pushed to the edge.

Stewart has emerged as one of TV’s hottest directors.  She began her career in entertainment by directing music videos and shot over a hundred videos for artists such as Joss Stone, Common, Eve, Jay-Z, Kanye West, 50 Cent, and more.

Recently Stewart has directed episodes of Pretty Little Liars, The Fosters, The Game, UnREAL, Major Crimes, How to Get Away With Murder and Grey’s Anatomy.  She also directed and wrote the Lifetime original movie, With This Ring, produced by Gabrielle Union and Tracey Edmonds.  The film was nominated for three NAACP Image Awards.  Stewart is currently set to direct and write Lifetime original film, The 10th Date.

Bitches will be produced by Ben Stiller’s Red Hour productions, and Stewart is set to write the adaptation alongside G.L. Lambert.
