The unfortunate aura of Underground’s cancellation at WGN America is in the air and there are fan-led calls to move it to another network (Netflix or OWN being among the fan favorites), but co-creator Misha Green isn’t putting all eggs in one basket!

Per Deadline, Green has a hot spec in the Hollywood streets, entitled Mother. Mother is an action-thriller centered around a female protagonist and was written in hopes of a potential action franchise.

Given the rave reviews of Wonder Woman so far and its expectant $100 million box office weekend, this is the perfect season for a powerhouse female lead in the action franchise sector! Especially penned by a woman of color!

CAA sent Green’s spec script to buyers Thursday morning. This potential script purchase isn’t the only thing happening for the successful writer! Green was also just set to write the pilot for Lovecraft Country, a one-hour drama given straight-to-series order by HBO. Lovecraft Country will be produced by Get Out writer-director Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot and Warner Bros Television. Green is repped by attorney, Nina Shaw.

Good luck to Misha Green! We wish her much success with this new project!
