It’s official! Former first lady Michelle Obama is set to guest star on MasterChef Junior‘s new season, according to the Los Angeles Times.  It’s only been a few weeks since the Obama family left the White House, and they have certainly been missed.  Immediately after the inauguration, the Obamas flew to Palm Springs, California. The next week, Michelle and President Obama jetted off to Necker Island, the private Caribbean isle owned by Richard Branson.

The hit cooking competition series, starring celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, returned to FOX on Thursday, Feb. 9 for its fifth season, and Obama will reportedly serve as one of many new guest stars on the program to fill former judge Graham Elliot‘s spot.

Graham previously joined the reality show for Season 1 in September 2013 and exited the series after Season 4 in November 2015. In addition to Michelle, other guest stars including Martha Stewart and the Muppets will allegedly appear on the show’s newest season.

Earlier this year Mrs. Obama made her final talk show appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.  She previously appeared on Fallon’s infamous “Ew!” sketch comedy segment to show off her dance skills for “The Evolution of Mom Dancing.”  Most recently, Mrs. Obama had her final one-on-one interview, conducted by Oprah Winfrey on CBS.

Mrs. Obama’s visits to The Tonight Show always provided significant ratings bumps, so we are excited to see her make an appearance on MasterChef Junior‘s new season!
