Kandyse McClure (Battlestar Galactica) has landed a series regular role in Syfy’s upcoming paranormal action series Ghost Wars! Ghost Wars is set in a remote Alaskan town that has been overrun by paranormal forces. The series focuses on local outcast Roman Mercer (Avan Jogia) who must overcome the town’s prejudices and his own personal demons if he’s to harness his repressed psychic powers and save everyone from the mass haunting that’s threatening to destroy them all. The series is created by Simon Barry (Continuum, Van Helsing).

McClure will portray Landis Barker, a scientist who works at a facility in the town where the strange things start occurring. She joins Vincent D’Onofrio, Kim Coates and Kristin Lehman.

Along with Battlestar Galactica, McClure is known for her series regular role on Hemlock Grove and Showtime’s Jeremiah. She can most recently be seen in films such as Careful What you Wish For and Seventh Son. She has also appeared in two Stephen King television adaptations: Carrie and Children of the Corn. In a Heritage Canada Black History Month feature, Kandyse McClure portrayed Civil rights activist Viola Desmond who is often described as the Rosa Parks of Canada and was an entrepreneur who challenged segregation in Nova Scotia in the 1940s.

McClure is repped by LINK Entertainment and Lucas Talent. Congrats to Kandyse McClure!
