Powerhouse content creator, Issa Rae, has joined the cast of Universal Pictures’ comedy Little, starring Black-ish star Marsai Martin.  Martin came up with the initial idea for the film, Tina Gordon is set to direct the film, and will Packer will be producing.

The film will revolve around a woman who gets the chance to relive the carefree life as her younger self when the pressures of adulthood become too much.

James Lopez and Black-ish creator Kenya Barris are also producing the film with Josh Martin, Martin and Regina Hall serving as executive producers.

Little is scheduled to be released September 20, 2019.

Rae is currently in production on the third season of her hit HBO series, Insecure. In addition to Little, her upcoming features include Fox’s The Hate U Give and Good Universe’s Empress of Serenity opposite Bill Hader.  HBO has picked also up her comedy Him Or Her and drama Sweet Life as a part of her first look producing deal with the cable network.
