Shondaland’s How To Get Away With Murder finished its season three with a two-hour season finale this past Thursday (2/23) and averaged 1.5 rating among adults 18-49, a two-tenths rise!
The legal drama, starring 2017 Golden Globe winning and Oscar nominee, Viola Davis joined another Shondaland drama, Grey’s Anatomy, helping ABC win the night.
The legal/crime series follows Law professor, Annalise Keating (Davis) at the prestigious Philadelphia university who, with five of her students, becomes entwined in a murder plot. An ensemble cast shines in the show, including Alfred Enoch, Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King, Matt McGorry, Karla Souza, Charlie Weber, Liza Weil, and Billy Brown. And in season three, Conrad Ricamora wa added to the main cast after appearing often in the previous two seasons. The series was created by Peter Nowalk and produced by Shonda Rhimes and ABC Studios.
Viola Davis has unsurprisingly dominated with critics, becoming the first Black woman to win an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. SAG Awards and Image Awards also honored her for her amazing portrayal of Professor Keating.
Mostly-known for its shocking twists, How to Get Away With Murder didn’t disappoint fans, ending its third season with likely one of the biggest twists of the series to date! Congrats to the cast and crew of the show!
