It’s a beautiful time in television and film and we’re experiencing a renaissance of sorts. Voices are being tapped and there is a hunger for specific voices and stories, and the desire for those voices is finally being recognized and honored. As these stories are being told, more black women are at the helm, and we are looking for writers to help us continue to share their impactful stories and journeys with the world!

Do you have a story to share about black women in film and television? Do you love film, television, digital series, and have an opinion on almost everything? Are you obsessed with Queen Sugar, Insecure, or How to Get Away With Murder? Do you love screenings, film reviews, film festivals, and reading about your favorite actress, producer, and/or director?  Are you interested in sharing your own experiences in the industry with the world? If so, we would love to have you join our team of contributing writers and promote your thoughts.

Contributors interested in joining our team should submit links to previously published clips in addition to a short bio and contact information to info@hbrmedia.org with “WRITE FOR HBR” in the subject line.  All writing opportunities are paid.

Please share this post with all of your friends who love our culture and are interested in film, television, and all things pertaining to black women in entertainment!

We look forward to hearing from you!
