2018’s Tomb Raider is well into production and Hannah John-Kamen (Killjoys) has signed onto the film in a major role! John-Kamen will be joining Roar Uthaug, Alicia Vikander, Dominic West, Walton Goggins, and Daniel Wu. Reports confirm that John-Kamen will be portraying the best friend and flatmate to Vikander’s archaeologist-adventurer Lara Croft.

Her character name hasn’t yet been released, but there is speculation that she’ll likely be playing Samantha Nishimura, a character from the 2013 Crystal Dynamics video game on which the film is based. In the video game, Nishimura is Croft’s best friend and she plays a key role in driving the game’s story forward.

Hannah John-Kamen is a British actress who is best known for her roles as Dutch in Killjoys and Viva in the West End musical Viva Forever. She is also known for her role as a Dothraki widow in the sixth season of the HBO series Game of Thrones and for voicing Sweet Shalquoir in the video game Dark Souls II.
