VH1’s Dear Mama: An Event to Honor Moms is holding its second annual event to celebrate moms across the world and another the fabulous Halle Berry has just joined the fold!

The Academy Award-winning actress will play a special part at the event, providing a distinct honor to a mother from the non-profit domestic violence organization, the Jenesse Center. Based in Los Angeles, Jenesse Center Inc. is a nationally recognized non-profit domestic violence prevention and intervention organization that helps transition abuse victims into stable and safe environments.

Berry is set star in the upcoming film Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which premieres in September. She starred in recent films such as Kevin Hart: What Now? and Kidnap. She also recently wrapped Deniz Gamze Erguven’s Kings, which highlights the 1992 Los Angeles riots following the infamous Rodney King case.

Dear Mama airs tonight on VH1 at 10 PM ET/PT. This is great news! Shout-out to Halle Berry for being a part of such an important cause and for representing as well as celebrating great moms!
