The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Academy Award winner, Halle Berry is currently in negotiations to join the Kingsman franchise in Kingsman: The Secret Service 2 as the head of the CIA. If this deal happens, it could possibly be a 2 picture deal if the film performs well. The hit, Kingsman: The Secret Service, grossed nearly $415 million when it was released by Fox in 2015.

Halle Berry, won an Oscar for her work in 2002’s Monster’s Ball, and was last seen on the big screen as Storm in X-Men: Days of Future Past. She recently finished her two-season run on the CBS science fiction series, Extant, and can be seen next in the film Kidnap, which follows a mother on a desperate quest to save her kidnapped son. Kidnap is scheduled to be released on May 13th

Kingsman: The Secret Service 2 is scheduled to be released June 16, 2017.
