Top 10 ranked cable network HGTV, shattered ratings records by having three consecutive “best year ever” performances and is gearing up to deliver its best first quarter ever.  They have announced  its 2016 programming lineup with 17 new series, new episodes of 24 popular titles, and 14 one-hour specials.

“For three consecutive years, HGTV has delivered consistent ratings growth among P25-54 and kept a solid hold as the #1 network among upscale W25-54.  HGTV’s programming is successful because our experts are passionate about real estate, home renovation and restoration. They would do this work whether or not cameras were there.” – Allison Page, General Manager, HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country.

Among the 17 new series, HGTV has confirmed that NAACP Image Award-winning actress Gabrielle Union and NBA star Dwayane Wade, will headline a new series tentatively titled Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade Project.  Union and Wade were married in the South of Florida in August 2014, and this series will showcase the couple as they renovate, revitalize, and resell a home in a suburban Florida neighborhood.

Union has a prominent role in the highly anticipated The Birth of a Nation directed by Nate Parker, and she’s been the star of BET’s Being Mary Jane since 2013. Union can also be seen on the big screen later this year in both A Meyers Christmas and Sleepless Night.
