Actress Gabrielle Union is set to exec produce an upcoming ABC single-camera comedy, White Dave, from filmmaker David E. Talbert (First Sunday, Almost Christmas).  Union will exec produce alongside LeBron James and Maverick Carter of SpringHill Entertainment (Survivor’s Remorse, The Wall).

The series is based on Talbert’s real-life experiences and revolves around a young African-American teenager, who has grown up in an all-white suburb and suddenly moves to an all-black neighborhood when his mom remarries.

There is no news as to whether or not Union will be starring in the series, but she certainly would be a great choice!

Union is currently starring in the BET series Being Mary Jane. The series will be wrapping next year after airing on the network for four season with a two-hour movie on the network in 2018.  Recently she has starred in films such as Birth of a Nation and Almost Christmas. She also co-starred alongside Jamie Foxx in Sleepless.
