British singer FKA Twigs is set to make her feature film debut in US crime-drama Brighton Beach. The story revolves around the rivalry between a family-run medical practice and a local mob boss caught up in a multi-million dollar Medicare fraud racket.

Twigs will co-star opposite UK actor Barney Harris, who has starred in the UK television series, The Hollow Crown, and can be seen in the upcoming feature film, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.

In addition to Twigs and Harris, Costa Ronin (The Americans), Sofia Vassilieva (Medium) and Michael Kingsbaker are also set to star in the film.

Rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur, Birdman, will produce alongside executive producer Molly Conners (Birdman, Rules Don’t Apply). David Gutnik will direct the film, and this will mark his directorial debut.

The film is currently in post-production, and a release date has not yet been announced.
