Reverie writer, Erika Green Swafford, has been signed by Universal TV in a two-year overall deal. Under the agreement, Green Swafford will be developing new projects for Universal TV.

“Erika is the kind of writer we all dream of working with,” Universal TV President Pearlena Igbokwe said. “She’s smart, hugely talented and a pleasure to collaborate with.”

Green Swafford received an MBA. from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and took writing courses at Georgetown University, and at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television while at Anderson.  She started her career in television as a script coordinator at Oxygen, where she was on an executive career track until she switched to writing.

After a stint in the Warner Bros. Writers’ Workshop and the WGA Writer Access Project, Green Swafford landed her first writing job on CBS/WBTV’s drama series The Mentalist, and worked her way up from staff writer to producer over the course of six seasons.  She then went on to the hit ABC series How to Get Away with Murder

We are excited to learn more about all of the upcoming projects soon to come from Erika under this new deal, and we look forward to sharing updates on the development of her future shows!
