The upcoming VH1 series, Daytime Divas, as added La La Anthony (Power), Tasha Smith (Empire), Eve (Barbershop), Janet Mock (TakePart Live) and more to the cast.  They will join Vanessa Williams (Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor) and Tichina Arnold (Survivor’s Remorse).

Inspired by the book Satan’s Sisters written by Star Jones (The View), the seriesrevolves around the daily fireworks that erupt between the five female co-hosts of fictitious long-running talk show entitled “The Lunch Hour”. On screen, they are best friends with five very different points of view, but behind the scenes, they inhabit a world of power struggles, cat fights and cocktails.

Smith will play Portia Camden, a popular lifestyle guru who joins the ladies as a guest co-host on the show. Anthony will play Isabel Carlisle, a crisis management expert brought in to help handle a situation that has gone public with one of the hosts. Mock will play herself.  She will be a guest co-host on “The Lunch Hour” who ends up connecting with and helping one of the other hosts.

Daytime Divas was developed for television by Amy Engelberg and Wendy Engelberg who will also executive produce alongside  Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler (Awkward), Josh Berman (Drop Dead Diva), Star Jones, Suzanne de Passe (The Temptations), Madison Jones and Susan Levison. Suzanne Coston will serve as co-executive producer. The series is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television.
