Chyna Layne (Precious) and Ilfenesh Hadera (Baywatch) have officially joined the cast of Netflix’s She’s Gotta Have It.

The series centers on Nola (DeWanda Wise), a Brooklyn-based artist in her late 20s struggling to define herself and divide her time among her friends, her job and her three lovers: the cultured model Greer Childs; the protective investment banker Jamie Overstreet; and Da Original B-Boy Sneakerhead Mars Blackmon, who still wears Jordans but now is a social-media phenomenon. Wise’s Nola Darling is a sexually liberated, free spirited painter/mixed media artist.

Layne and Hadera join the cast including Wise, Margot Bingha, Anthony Ramos, Cleo Anthony, and Lyriq Bent.

Spike Lee will direct each episode and executive produce alongside his wife Tonya Lewis Lee, whom Lee credits with having the initial idea to turn his movie into a series.

Layne most recently recurred on TNT’s Major Crimes. In addition to Precious, her big screen credits include Life of Crime and Cadillac Records. She’s repped by The Arlook Group and attorneys Fred Toczek and Chris Abramson.

Hadera previously worked with Lee on features Chi-Raq and Oldboy. She’ll next be seen in a starring role in Paramount’s Baywatch set for a May 19 release. Her TV credits include recurring roles on Billions, Conviction and Masters of None. Hadera is repped by Gersh and Untitled Entertainment.

No word on when exactly production might begin, but check out the original trailer below!
