Chante Adams has signed with WME.  She recently starred in the Sundance hit Roxanne, Roxanne alongside Mahershala Ali and Nia Long.

The film revolved around the story of Lolita “Roxanne Shanté” Gooden and her journey toward becoming a hip-hop legend.  After it’s premiere at Sundance, a bidding war evolved between Amazon, Lionsgate, and Miramax; however, upstart distributor Neon acquired North American rights to the Sundance hit.  The deal was reported to be worth nearly $3 million.

Adams’ portrayal of the legendary battle MC earned her Sundance’s Special Jury Award for Breakthrough Performance, a performance that was her first professional job upon graduating from Carnegie Mellon’s drama school.

Congrats to Chante Adams! We look forward to following her career as she continues to move forward and make waves in this industry!
