The winners of the 2018 BET Awards were announced Sunday night.

Ava DuVernay took the award for video director of the year award for her striking futurist video for Jay-Z‘s ‘Family Feud.’  Black Panther walked home with the Movie of the Year award, and Tiffany Haddish was named best actress for her brilliant comedic role in the hit film Girls Trip.

In addition, R&B singer Anita Baker was presented with BET’s Lifetime Achievement Award.  Baker is considered a trailblazer in soul and R&B, with her songs, “Giving You the Best That I Got” and “Sweet Love”, reaching the Billboard Hot 100 top 10.
