Innovative drama “commissioning club,” Atrium TV, has launched a new slate of projects with a drama from powerhouse director, Ava DuVernay.

Atrium TV was founded by Howard Stringer, former chairman of Sony and former President of CBS, and Jeremy Fox, Chairman of leading international distributor, DRG, and the goal of the organization is to develop exciting distinctive projects with global appeal.

Four new high-end projects were added to the upcoming Atrium TV drama slate, and among the titles was The Last Amazon exec produced by Ava DuVernay.  The historical series will focus on the great Amazon Queens such as Antiope and Hippolyta, portraying their loves and major battles, notably, their campaign against the Ancient Greeks.  Rafe Judkins is the scribe behind the series, and Gene Stein will produce alongside DuVernay.

We are excited to see another project added to DuVernay’s busy schedule. DuVernay was recently tapped to direct The New Gods comic for Warner Bros, DC, and will also serve as the executive producer of CBS drama pilot Red Line.
