Antonia Thomas (Misfits, Lovesick) has been cast as the female lead in the ABC pilot, The Good Doctor, from Sony TV! The drama, written by David Shore, is based on a South Korean format and centers on a young surgeon named Shaun Murphy with Savant syndrome is who recruited into the pediatric surgical unit of a renowned hospital. Thomas will portray Claire Browne, a talented doctor who forms a special connection with Shaun while wrestling her own set of challenges.

The British actress currently stars in the Netflix British comedy series Lovesick, in which she portrays the best friend who harbors a secret crush on the male lead. She has been a star on the rise, being offered multiple offers this pilot season and has been nominated for the Best Female Newcomer Empire Award for her role in the musical-feature Sunshine on Leith. Thomas has an intriguing catalogue of work, as she was also featured in the Stereophonics song “C’est La Vie” and narrated the opening and closing lines to the reboot of the British children’s television series, Teletubbies.

It looks like Antonia Thomas is well on her way in being a permanent feature on-screen and we’re excited to witness her trajectory!
