Belle and United Kingdom director, Amma Asante, has officially joined the director roster for Pulse Films’ Commercial representation.

In a statement from the company, Asante spoke on what it means to her to be joining Pulse Films, “I’m really delighted to be joining Pulse Films – they have consistently put out powerful and beautiful work of quality over the years, leading in the field, and I am very excited that my contributions in this area are to be nurtured under the auspices of such a supremely creative company.”

Davud Karbassioun, Pulse Films’ global president of commercials and branded, added, “Amma is a force of nature, one of the most inspiring people I’ve ever met.  She already has created a seminal body of work and as genuine fans, Pulse Films are proud to be in her corner to help continue to evolve her incredible story as a modern filmmaker across multiple genres, formats and platforms.”

Outside of Pulse Films, Asante recently wrapped her latest film, Where Hands Touch, starring Amandla Stenberg, Abbie Cornish, and Christopher Eccleston, which tells the story of a bi-racial teen trying to survive in Nazi Germany. She is now working on directing The Billion Dollar Spy based on the true tale by David E. Hoffman about a man who became the most valuable spy at The Pentagon during the final years of the Cold War.
