WATCH: Alicia Keys’ Powerful New York Inspired Short Film on Police Brutality

Alicia Keys has released a powerful short film titled The Gospel  that addresses police brutality in NYC, and includes unreleased tracks from her upcoming album Here.  The 23-minute film, was directed by A.V. Rockwell, and made its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in April.

Keys recently wrote the song Back To Life for the Disney film Queen of Katwe, starring Lupita Nyong’o, David Oyelowo and newcomer Madina Nalwanga, and served as the executive producer for the 2013 film Mister & Pete starring Jennifer Hudson, Skylan Brooks and Ethan Dizon.  Keys has been cast in the Sony Pictures adaptation Compositions in Black and White, and can currently be seen as a coach on Season 11 of The Voice.
