Alexandra Grey (Transparent, When We Rise) is set to guest star in the second season of CBS medical drama series Code Black alongside Camryn Manheim (Person of Interest, The Practice), Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation).

Grey is a transgender actress who will play the role of Beth, a strong, confident transgender woman. When stomach pains send her to the ER, she is forced to confront her past.

Code Black centers on the fictional Angels Memorial Hospital, where four first-year residents and their colleagues must tend to patients in an understaffed, busy emergency room that lacks sufficient resources, and will return this fall in its Wednesday 10 PM time slot.

Grey has guest starred on hit television series’ such as Glee, Chasing Life, and Transparent. She has been featured in films such as Gina Prince-Bythewood’s Beyond the Lights and is set to star in the upcoming feature film, Little Blue Sky, which revolves around a black college athlete who falls in love with an aspiring transgender musician.
