The Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony broadcasted on Sunday night and Black women represented! Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood were among the winners of the 44th annual ceremony awarding daytime television throughout a variety of categories. Underwood and Tyler, along with their co-hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, took home the Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Hosts trophy for CBS’ The Talk.

The Talk was created by actress Sara Gilbert, who also serves as an executive producer, along with John Redmann. The show, which covers the latest headlines and often provides a mother’s perspective, is based on the British daily women’s panel show Loose Women.
