Actress Aisha Hinds (Underground) is set to join Angela Bassett (American Horror Story), Rockmond Dunbar (The Path), Oliver Stark (Into the Badlands) and Kenneth Choi (The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story) in the upcoming Fox drama series 9-1-1.  The series has received a 13-episode straight-to-series order.

9-1-1 is a procedural drama that revolves around the high-pressure experiences of police, paramedics and firefighters who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations. These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives. Angela Bassett, Peter Krause and Connie Britton star.

Bassett will executive produce the project alongside Ryan Murphy,Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear executive produce, along with Bradley Buecker, and Alexis Martin Woodall.

Hinds is fresh off universal praising for her role as Harriet Tubman in the critically acclaimed WGN series Underground, and is set to star in upcoming film Godzilla: King Of The Monsters.  She’s had supporting roles in a number of television series, including The ShieldTrue BloodDetroit 1-8-7 and Under the Dome. Hinds was recently seen in Fox’s police brutality social series Shots Fired and also co-starred opposite Bryan Cranston and Anthony Mackie in the HBO biopic All The Way.
