Everybody Hates Chris alum Aeysha Carr set to write The Studio, a music-themed office comedy from Kevin Hart, and rapper/actor T.I.  The series has landed at Showtime for development, and Harris will serve as executive producer alongside Hart and T.I. who will also make an occasional guest appearances on the show.

The Studio will chronicles the day-to-day and night-to-night antics that happen in a music recording studio, the people who work in this very unorthodox office place, and the conversations you have when your peak work hours are from midnight to six AM.  Brian Sher and 3 Arts’ Dave Becky will also exec produce the Lionsgate TV series.

It’s unclear when the show will debut, but this isn’t the first time that Hart and T.I. have worked together. Besides recording a track with Hart’s rap alter-ego “Chocolate Drop,” they starred together in the 2015 comedy Get Hard. T.I. also made a cameo in Ride Along 2 starring Hart and Ice Cube.

Carr is a veteran television writer and has written for series such as Everybody Hates Chris, My Wife and Kids, Mixology, Born Again Virgin, and most recently The Carmichael Show

We are looking forward to checking out The Studio!
